I have been dreaming about a halter like this for over two years, and now I was suddenly able to make one on my own! Awesome! And Batman looks AMAZING in brown and brass! Wow. It took me ages to finish this project because I had to wait 5 weeks for the hardware to arrive. The halter is decorated with both Viking and Celtic style bling, the best of two worlds in my opinion. I could not choose so I went for them both and it turned out good! I guess it works, there was many Scandinavian influences on the Celts back in the days. The small brass pieces are based on a Viking brooch found in Gotland, and the larger ones are decorated with Celtic knots.
This is my first leatherwork project ever, so the halter is a bit ugly some places because I was learning by doing. Every single thing on this halter is the result of something I did for the first time in my life, but I’m happy with the result! I don’t care about a few uneven stiches, the halter looks great from a distance, it fits and it works! I mean, I MADE THIS from nothing but a huge piece of leather. That’s really cool.
What do you think about the result?
Peace, love and Friesian hugs,
Batman & Matilde

Så nydelig! Du har virkelig gjort en nydelig jobb!
I know Batman can’t look bad….but that looks great good job. ✌️❤️
Very well done! I love the detail to the buckles!
So cool! I love the fact that you made this yourself. I bet Batman appreciates it so much. Was it hard?
Wow, reallt great! How much did it cost with all tools and materials, and where id you buy it? I would like to start doing leatherwork myself.
Soo cool! You’ve done a great job!
The halter looks wonderful. Sewing through thick leather is not easy. Do you have a machine or did you borrow one? I’m sure Batman will love it as it wears in and becomes softer.
How much would it be to order one??
