Donkey meetup!

Batman and I went to visit two donkeys today! I love donkeys and when I found out we had some in town I had to bring Bat there and say hello. Påsan & Pernille are two lovely donkeys living in a small forest. Påsan was born in 2001, and is a dark, donkey stallion. His ears are huge and he is so cute!

Many horses tend to be scared of donkeys and I was not 100% sure about Batman’s reaction, but he is usually very chill and loves all other animals so I expected it to go just fine. He always wants to say hello to other horses, goats, cats, dogs, sheep and cows and the list goes on!

When we first arrived and I heard the donkey-sound for the first time in my life, I was slightly terrified. Påsan was screaming like crazy, and it did not sound like donkeys do in movies, it sounded like someone tried to murder ten pitbulls. It was terrifying! I would faint if I were to meet Påsan in the darkness. At this point I was a bit concerned about how Bat would take it, and it went like this:

The Batman was not amused. Påsan seemed to have fun, tho. But Batman had not yet fled in terror, and I expected it to stop at some point, the donkey can’t go on forever, can it? It seemed like an eternity passed before it finally was silent again.

I then realized that Batman is used to ME, and I make horrible noises all the time. I sound like a goat/diplodocus when I have hiccups, so the donkey-monster-sound was maybe not that bad after all … When they got to say hello they became best buddies right away. CUTENESS OVERLOAD!

We then went for a “hack”, you can’t really plan anything with a donkey, so Batman and I walked around, while Påsan ate grass, made funny faces and went wherever he wanted to go, haha. Thanks to Anne-Line we got some nice photos! I even got to ride Påsan (don’t worry, I had one leg on the ground so he was not carrying me) and managed to fall off, haha!
