I receive a couple of questions about Batman’s amazing everyday bridle! The neckpiece is a Desmond O’Brien-bridle, and the sidepull is handmade by the amazingly talented Ronja Overgaard. I don’t have a perfect browband for it yet, but I guess I will figure it out.
I’m so in love with this style, and want something unique when I’m looking for new tack, both when it comes to bridles, cordeos, breast collars, and other saddle accessories!
The last year, I have mainly ridden Batman bitless, and it works out perfectly. My goal now is to collect more bitless alternatives that looks as amazing as his sidepull! I LOVE horse-tack and think I finally have found the perfect style for Batman ❤ It suits him well, don’t you think?
Peace, love and Friesian hugs,
Batman & Matilde

Så fint!
Not at all trying to criticise as I struggle with this issue too! But how do you manage/feel about being a vegetarian and buying leather products?
REPLY FROM MATILDE: That’s not critique at all! The leather industry is in many parts of the world HORRIBLE! It is a very dirty industry I won’t support, so I never buy shoes, gloves, bags etc in leather for myself because it is very hard to track and you can, without even knowing it, wear dog leather or leather from a cow who died in massive pain in Pakistan… I do have bridles and a couple of saddles in leather, but when I’m purchasing something new nowadays, I it is from brands I know (leather can be a byproduct from the meat industry as well), or leather I know that is a byproduct from the meat production in Scandinavia (best animal welfare). My best tips is to look for vegan alternatives if you prefer that, biothane or rope can be a good alternative, or at least know where the leather is coming from! Don’t buy cheap bridles.
Oh my lord..
Those photos are so amazingly beautiful! And I love the quality of your camera!
The snow is also very bokeh and sweet…
No more words
Have you looked for a browband on Etsy? I recommend checking out the shop WhiteHartDesigns, they specialise in handmade browbands, reins etc inspired by GOT, the medieval and the baroque style . They even have a black/silver browband with a bat on it:)
I think only the truly insecure limit their readers' blog panopciiatitr. Yes, we all should RESPECT one another while discussing blog subjects, but a little constructive criticism (when phrased correctly) can really go a long way.
